Not only was the destination we were climbing at better than I expected, Delaney and Petra our climbing guide were amazing. I felt very safe and comfortable climbing with them. Almost everyday was spent outside climbing and getting to know the other girls on the trip. The rest days were also lovely and it was cool getting to go out and explore the area we were staying in. I feel as though my climbing has improved and I have made great friends because of this trip!”

“I found out about this all women’s sport climbing trip in Cuenca Spain through Delaney’s instagram. She put feelers out, seeing who would be interested. I immediately booked my spot when I saw these three words: Spain, climbing, women.

The Cuenca trip was everything I wanted it too be. The way it was organised, all the different crags we went too, and of course the beautiful supportive women I met along the way. Climbing has given me so much meaning and purpose, and the women on this trip, the community, Delaney, reinforce that so much to that. Women are so strong and cool.

“My experience with girl on rock was absolutely amazing. I last minute signed up for the trip by myself and had no idea what to expect. I didn’t realize how life changing of a trip it would be. Climbing with a bunch of other girls of different age group and background was such a cool experience and I felt like I came out of the trip a way better climber and with lifelong friends from all around the world. Delaney was such a fun tour guide, it felt like I was traveling more with a knowledgeable friend rather than a tour guide. she really livened up the trip with her jokes and constant enthusiasm.”

Going on a girl on rock trip is basically going on a dream vacation that you don’t have to actually plan much of. We spent almost every day climbing with knowledgeable guides, who encourage you while you’re at the crags and help you to gain confidence and skill. My favorite part was having the encouragement, support, and friendship of the other girls on the trip. Overall, it was a once in a lifetime type experience that I hope to have more than once!
